Face Value: Rs. 20,000 per bond.
Tenure: 10 Years
High Security: NABARD is fully owned by Govt. Of India & Reserve Bank Of India. The bonds are also rated "AAA" by CRISIL & CARE certifying financial strength of NABARD.
High Returns: The post tax returns offered by these bonds can be compared with other options like fixed Deposits of equal tenure in commercial banks. At present, the post tax return on these bonds is 7.73% . The post tax return on Fixed Deposit for 10 years is a meager 7.50% to 7.70%.
High Liquidity: Listed on BSE, the bonds can be sold in stock exchange even before maturity.
Protection from interest rate fluctuations: Any fluctuation in interest rate for 10 years does not affect the yield of the bonds.
TDS: No TDS is deducted at source on the return of these bonds.
Minimum Investment: Minimum 5 bonds & thereafter in multiple of 1 bond.
Allotment of Bonds: The bonds will be allotted on the 1st Day of the month succeeding to the month of investment.
Interest on application money: Successful Applicants will be paid interest on their application money @ 3.5% p.a. from the date of realization of cheque till the deemed date of allotment.
While opting for Demat facility: Investor should ensure that the names of the sole/all the applicants and the order in which they appear in the application form should be same as registered with the investor's DP.
Dispatch of bond certificates: NABARD would send Bond certificates by Registered / Speed Post within 60 days from the deemed date of allotment.
Nomination: Nomination facility is available.
